Me as a young hobo

Me as a young hobo

I grew up as an only child in rural upstate NY and consequently had two primary companions - television and my imagination. I always loved films and television but strove to reconcile the difference between actor and character, image and reality. Even as a young child I wanted to be in my favorite films and also for favorite characters - live and cartoon - to be come to life. Thus began a love of toys and a lifelong mission to give life to the objects around me. My interests naturally progressed to the arts of photography, animation and crafting - mediums that allow me to create and capture a fantastical reality.

My love of images led me to leave the countryside and study film production and animation in New York City where I've lived ever since, soaking up as much knowledge and culture as I could absorb. For 5 years I shared that knowledge on my public access program Who's Got the Action?  Now as a film stills archivist I can touch all the films I wanted to be a part of and those images give me loads of inspiration for my own projects, now collected here for everyone to enjoy. I most certainly hope you will.
